As a Field Service Technician, you would be tasked to evaluate, troubleshoot and repair the GEA Process Engineering equipment at various customer sites.


Travel to customer locations in Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico and the United States Troubleshoot, install and repair equipment on site Perform in house repair and testing of equipment as needed Investigate problems, make repairs recommendations and perform equipment upgrades Perform preventative maintenance services Perform calibrations and maintain records Control system debugging Work the necessary hours, including reasonable overtime as required, to satisfy the customer and/or complete the task Write service call reports and follow up with customers and affiliates as required Perform the required research needed to provide the customers with the correct parts, diagrams, documents, etc. Travel up to 80 percent Contributes to team effort by completing all tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor


AAS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or applicable technical school training Mechanical Aptitude Familiarity with loops elects schematics, electrical instrumentation Understanding of basic pneumatics and electrical wiring methods Minimum of 2-3 years industrial experience Familiarity with the Pharmaceutical Industry and GMP requirements Positive work ethic and enthusiasm Electronic instrumentation and calibration methods Must demonstrate technical knowledge of the equipment. Must be detail oriented
